Sibenah Anadyrs Rex
ANKC Registered Siberian Husky | Bred by Sibenah Siberians
Male | 28.12.2001 - 05.01.2013
On the 5th January 2013, Lisa lost her ♥ dog.
Many tears were shed after Rex was diagnosed with a tumour on his heart. It came as such a shock as he was racing only four months prior and showed no signs of being ill. He put up such a brave fight and in true form, he was a stoic gentleman right to the very end.
Joining the Idigadog family in 2004 at the age of two, Rex very quickly stole Lisa's heart and made it very clear that she was 'his human'. Always by her side with an uncanny sense of reading emotions and physical changes, Rex truly was one of 'those' dogs. A real smoocher and very sensitive, this guy helped us get back our love for racing.
His determination and confidence in either leading the team or giving his all as a wheel dog was never more apparent than when he ran on Lisa's team. He always gave her 100% but quite often faffed around with other mushers. Rex had lovely trail manners and such an easy disposition which meant that you could trust him with any other dog no matter what the situation.
Rex had an awesome season in 2009 teaming up with Rookie, one of our yearlings. He was brilliant in teaching the commands and definately tried his hardest at keeping the young gun in check. We were really proud of how well he raced especially for an old guy!
The nine years that we had Rex in our lives were an absolute pleasure and everyone here misses him greatly. Love you Sexy Rexy and I hope to see you again one day my very good friend xx
